Stave Press (Stave Vise)

A great new tool that makes life easier for the selfbow builder, the Stave Press is a handy way to hold that irregularly shaped stave during rough-out as well as while shaping the bow. Has a rubber pad to help protect the back of the bow as well as to hold firm.

The Stave Press comes with mounting instructions and hardware and can be mounted to a post in the ground or your favorite work bench. Grab an extra base and you can loosen the set bolts on the base, then move the Stave Press to another base and tighten. I use mine for just this on the days I want to work outside. The Stave Press swivels 360 degrees on the base till tightened, so it will work just about anywhere.
